Classes are tailored to first-time drivers wanting to obtain their driver's license.

Course includes: 17 (2) hour classes, including (4) hours of ZED computer simulation, (5) 1-Hour Drives with 3-5 Observation drives.

Following steps are to be taken by student:

  • Must be 15 on the first day of class. To obtain a permit you must be enrolled in a driver education course.
  • Pre-apply for a "first license" at https://secure.dol.wa.gov/home/newDriver.aspx (If you have a Washington ID you do not need to do this.)
  • Call or text your pre-application confirmation number or Washington ID number to 509-737-1011. **This number will begin with the first 5 letters of your last name.
  • We will enter this number along with a waiver into the Department of Licensing databank. This waiver allows you to obtain your permit without taking the knowledge test.
  • Waiver cannot be sent to the DOL until 10 days prior to your class starting. We also require a $200 down payment or tuition paid in full before we place this in the DOL databank.
  • Visit the DOL. Don't forget your Birth Certificate and Photo ID. Their fee is $25 for a permit. Any questions of what to take please visit the DOL website.

Teen Program for students ages 15 1/2 - 18

All teens under the age of 18 must take Drivers Education before they are eligible to get a license. If you are 15 1/2 or older you can take the written test and obtain your permit without being enrolled in a driver education course. . You may want to do this if your schedule does not currently allow you to take Drivers Ed due to sports or other constraints. Remember, you must have your permit for 6 months before you can get your license, this will get that 6 months started for you now.

However you cannot obtain your driver's license before you are 18 without taking a driver's education course.

The written test is 40 questions and takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. You are able to take that at our school for $25 without signing up for class. We give this same test on the last day of class. It is included in your tuition fee.

Course includes: 17 (2) hour classes, including (4) hours of ZED computer simulation, (5) 1-Hour Drives with 3-5 Observation drives.
